Red Cuffed Newborn Beanie; FREE crochet pattern; Little Hats Big Hearts Campaign

This is the pattern that I am using to for the Little Hats Big Hearts campaign. The American Heart Association has teamed with the Children’s Heart Foundation to collect little red hats for newborns who are born in US hospitals during February. The goal of this project is raise awareness for Congenital Heart Defects {CHD’s} and for living a heart healthy life. According to the CDC one in 100 children are born with a CHD – that’s nearly 40,000 annually in the US alone. For more information about this campaign please click here.

This is one of my favorite newborn patterns – its great for beginners and more experienced crocheters.
